WHAT YOU NEED TO GET A VISA FOR DUBAI

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET A VISA FOR DUBAI

The UAE is a popular destination for tourists and visitors looking to make Dubai their home with Dubai’s booming economy, vibrant life and comfortable living standards. New opulent villas like the District One Villas or other properties for sale in Dubai have added more attraction to the city. Visa requirements differ depending on different factors, including nationality, scheduled stay and purposes of the Emirates visa for visitors to Dubai. It is advisable to verify with a UAE embassy or consulate closest to you if you need a visa before travelling to the UAE. Visa regulations do not change with no prior notice.

All visitors in Dubai need a visa except citizens of those countries of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (AGCC). These include nationals from Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, who must apply for their valid AGCC passport or ID card at any entry point in the United Arab Emirates. AGCC ex-pats who meet certain requirements can receive a visa upon arrival at the UAE port of entry, which cannot be extended and is valid for 30 days. Other nationalities of Western Europe and the Pacific Rim (now composed of 32 countries) who have regular passports with valid visas or entry stamps from their respective countries do not have to be subject to a pre-arranged visa. This enables them to continue for 60 days and to be extended for an additional 30 days. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs website offers a full list of these nationalities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET A VISA FOR DUBAI

You must show a valid visa upon arrival at Dubai International Airport to ensure entry into an Emirate if you do not fall into any of the above categories. The validity of your visa must also be noted to ensure that you leave your country on or before the last day since an illegal stay would be subject to a regular penalty and an exit charge when you leave.

TYPES OF VISAS

Entry Service Permit

Such permits are available 14 days from the date of issue and allow visitors, not including arrival and departure days, to remain in the country for 14 days. Hotels, tourist companies or other organisations may apply for this form of visa on behalf of the individual; per person, a security deposit will be required and reimbursed upon departure from the country. Delegations of companies or organisations that are urgently needed to perform a business operating within the United Arab States may be given an entry service permit. This refers to account auditors, business administrators and sales managers for the following persons and their families. The entry licence is generally given only urgently for a fee and cannot be renewed. A copy of the applicant’s passport and flight arrival and departure dates is included in the appropriate documents. Passports are valid for at least six months to apply for a permit for the entry facility. Even in the case of cancellation, denial of the visa or expiry of the given visa, the visa cost shall not be refundable.

Visit Visas

Visit visas shall be issued for individuals who wish to be short-term tourists, friends and families and long-term business visitors in the country for more than 14 days. A visa requires a qualifying sponsor, either a hotel or business with a valid UAE licence or a UAE citizen with a valid visa.

The visa maintains its validity for a span of two months, commencing from the date of issuance. This temporal allowance affords tourists a duration of 60 days within the country, with the prospect of extension up to 90 days, subject to an additional fee. The submission of pertinent documents, encompassing a replica of the applicant’s passport, details of arrival and departure flights, the sponsor’s passport, and the visa particulars, may accompany the application dossier. Passports should be available for visa application for at least six months.

Tourist Visa

A tourist agency or hotel must sponsor this particular category of visa. It can only be given to certain nationalities, is non-renewable and allows visitors to stay for 30 days in this country.

There are other kinds of visas in the city, like the Student visa, multiple entry visa, and visa for medical treatment. Many people in this city come to be the city’s residents so they can enjoy the luxury of it. So people looking to make a living in this city must consider property for rent in Dubai as their priority.
