After the Cloud ERP solution, my client was saving about $2,000 per month by not having equipment and maintenance, IT staff, etc. Over the past few years, the terms “artificial intelligence” and “machine learning” have become a frequent feature in technology news and on websites. Often the two words are used interchangeably, but many experts argue that there are subtle but real differences between the two.
However, in general, two things seem clear: first, the term artificial intelligence (AI) is older than machine learning (ML), and second, most people consider machine learning to be a subset of artificial intelligence.
I’m just wondering how artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) can change the lives of business and industry owners? Today we see them at all stages of our lives, but we cannot distinguish them individually. They are part of our life.
How are AI and ML changing the industry?
AI in manufacturing, along with IOT tools, tells CNC machines what to produce, when to produce, and how much to produce. This has increased the efficiency and utilization of machines, labor, etc. The production line has become smooth without many surprises as supply and demand are met with ERP and IOT as this decision information is passed to different touchpoints that will do the same most. Define standard templates and the rest will be done automatically. Hardware and its preventive maintenance are monitored and AI maintenance, issues and data center maintenance are covered.
AI and ML are changing the way we buy goods, do sales, rent or sell houses, etc. Even dating apps help many find the right partners. AI and ML control Amazon book recommendations, Google suggests the right information or promotes ads, etc. The job market is shrinking. Many routine tasks have been replaced by technical tools.
AI and ML have improved the lives of online shoppers with the right messages, additional information about additional products, etc. ML now automatically learns user models and suggests what to buy. These tools have helped many online e-commerce companies target products to the right group of customers and learn more about their shopping habits, when and where they can shop, etc.

Artificial intelligence tools have also changed the agricultural sector. Activities that are too sensitive to data that is difficult to sit and analyze have now been simplified. We can now measure and track crop yields, productivity, soil fertility, nutrient deficiencies, and more. Many agrotech companies rely on AI and machine learning to feed data back into an algorithm and see what happens.
How is our privacy violated to make it simple?
In the past, we used to hail a taxi from the side of the road or call taxi companies to order a taxi. Now we use apps and no longer hang around on the sidelines. UBER, Ola, GoJek have changed the need to own a car and pay for service. The money savings are huge considering the savings in vehicle maintenance costs, insurance, parking fees, etc. This has reduced traffic on the road and blockages during peak hours, saving millions of dollars on fuel.
Google is releasing the self-driving car economy. AI supervised learning helps control vehicle movement; this is the environment, nearby cars or any other vehicles, etc. This helps to protect passengers and other surrounding property. UBER is already talking about buying these vehicles for its fleets, as well as developing its own self-driving cars.
AirBnB and Oyo have upgraded their hotel experience while lowering prices. OYO has changed the way end users experience the hotel by raising the standard of rooms and services. The guest is guaranteed to receive the same service in several hotels. Today, clients do NOT check the hotel name, its authenticity, etc. The client checks if the hotel meets the OYO requirements or not. This guarantees the quality and the minimum standard of services.

So what’s going on here?
Many IT jobs are already suffering. Development tools reduce the number of developers needed, tools like Selenium replace manual testing. We have created tools that reduce web application testing time by 80%.
But a side effect of this is that many have lost their jobs and income opportunities.
How does machine learning work?
If you see the above business, they don’t own any properties, but they control the activity as they use AI and machine learning to feed information back into the application. One of the ways ML works is that it needs a huge amount of transactional data to parse and get patterns and learn from them.
To make a machine learning algorithm work, it needs a huge amount of data and feedback so that it can create its own patterns, test, learn, and deploy new ones. Many healthcare startups are using AI and machine learning to scan digitized reports that feed data into AI and recreate models for analysis.
Most ERPs are transactional. Thanks to artificial intelligence and machine learning, the manufacturing industry is changing. There is an opportunity to integrate AI and IOT with conventional ERP and this can be a powerful tool in the hands of a business owner.
